ICRA aims to foster Christian solidarity within the agricultural and rural sector. To this end, the Association is inspired by the teachings of the Catholic Church, and, specifically, by its social doctrine. ICRA acts in permanent collaboration with the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, a representative of which participates in the General Assembly and General Council, without the right to vote. ICRA will keep this above mentioned representative regularly informed about its activities.
In consideration of the religious and moral dimension of farming and rural life, and in permanent collaboration with the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, ICRA aims to:
- foster contacts, exchange and cooperation between Catholic rural organisations.
- support member associations and institutions that intend to carry out research or identify sound response to problems that arise in the sector of agriculture.
- promote study, research, cooperation, education and leisure activities.
